A letter
from Rosy the Rose
Hi there! I’m Rosy the
rose! I sit in a little flower pot in the corner of the main room in MBM, which
is by the way the best camp EVER! After a smashing and fantastic line up on
Monday, the girls davened and had a blast by swimming. Then they had an awesome
string hunt, and decorated posters which I get to look at all day! Elite bunk
also went to Jill Ceramics and made beautiful creations. On Tuesday I watched
as the girls filed in to camp with huge smiles on their faces. They went
swimming and had awesome funshops where they made beautiful creations and learned
fun dances! Finally, trip day came and the camp got to go to Billy Beez (Where
the camp made a big Kiddush Hashem and got complimented by the Billy Beez staff).
I heard the kids and staff all talk about how fun it was and how fast the
slides were! I wish I was there! The Elite bunk got to go to a water park and
overnight and made a lot of funny memories! On Thursday the girls went swimming
again and had so much fun by fun-shops! The mini chefs made stunning flower
cupcakes and the girls in dance worked really hard to perfect their
presentation for Friday. We also learned all about Yud Bais Tammuz with Mrs.
Sears. Sadly enough, Friday came which means that this week in the greatest
camp EVER is over…(*Sniff*) Everyone came dressed up as a Bubby, baby or Zaidy!
It was so funny to watch! We had an awesome shabbos party and played a grand
machanayim game! What a fun week for all the campers! Can’t wait to see what
you have in store for next week! Anyway, it’s been a great week! Now I need a
nap! – Rosy

Shiur Questions From Mrs. Sears
This week in connection to the theme
Ruach, we learned about having and creating a yiddishe ruach- positive spirit.
We do this by being role models to, and proudly fulfilling our yiddisher
missions.
1.
In
dress it means to_____________.
2.
What
is the proper order of getting dressed? Putting on shoes?
3.
In
speech what does this mean?
4.
Thursday
was Yud Bais Tammua, what happened on this special day?
5.
This
week we learned Mishna Daled in Pirkei Avos. It says that we must show respect
to someone who ___________ us Torah even
if it’s one letter.
6.
Can
you repeat the story of Dovid Hamelech and Achitofel? Or the Mendy and the Golam Story?
Kiddie Camp
Wow, what a packed we’ve had! We
started off our week by making beautiful crowns that show how Yiddishe
Kinderlach dress. The FunBus came and it was so exciting, we got to play on the
bus and even slide out the back door. On
Tuesday we played a Tznius clothing dress up game and each got a pop up toy
prize. The kinderlach really enjoyed putting on all the dress up clothing
before someone else spun the number 6. On Wednesday the UPK bunks both got to
go to Billy Beez while the nursery had a great day back at camp. On Friday so many
kids came to camp as a bubby, zaidy, or a baby. We are so proud of the kiddie
camp for making sure to use the walking feet and indoor voices!
