Transportation
Car-pools:
Most of the children arrive to camp via personal or car pool transportation. We have instituted the following procedures for drop-off and pick-up, to ensure the safety of our children.
Drop-off time will be between 9:15-9:40 AM. Drive up slowly to the front of the building and come to a complete stop. Staff members will be on hand to escort your child/ren into the building to their proper meeting place. Please note that this is not the time to engage the staff in discussion. If you need to discuss something with the head of staff, after you drop off your child/ren you will be directed to a special parking area.
After 9:40 AM, counselors will not be waiting outside to escort your child/ren. For late arrivals-please park your car and then bring your child/ren to the main office where you will need to sign them in.
Pick-up time is 3:15PM-3:30PM. Drive slowly into the parking lot, and pull up to the door. You will be asked to provide the names of the child/ren you are picking up. Your child/ren will be escorted to your car, after the child is buckled in, proceed slowly to exit the parking area. Once again, this is not the time to engage staff members or other parents in conversation. If you need something in the building or want to talk to someone you will have to wait until dismissal is over.
Please be punctual, as it is unfair to the children and staff to be late.
There will be an optional 4:00PM pick up for parents who need extra time. For children not enrolled in the “after-camp” care, who will be picked up after 3:35PM, and children enrolled in “after-camp” care who will be picked up after 4:05PM there will be an extra $5 fee per 15 minute increments per day. Please adhere to this and come on time.

Early Pick-up
Please inform the office in advance of your intention to pick-up your child/ren early. All child/ren must be signed out before leaving camp grounds early. Authorization must be provided in writing if someone other than a parent is doing the pick-up.
When you arrive at camp for early pick-up, please report to the office first. A staff member will bring your child to the office.
Food
Please make sure your child does not bring anything with sesame seeds or nuts, especially peanuts. Peanut allergies are very serious and could potentially harm another camper (Chas V’Shalom). Please refrain from sending candy as a snack for your child.
Communications with Camp
If you need to send a note to camp with special instructions or requests, please make sure to fax a copy to 845-205-6005, or email mbmonsey@gmail.com DO NOT rely solely on sending a note with your child. Many times children forget to mention that they have a note with them.
We are always interested in hearing your comments and concerns regarding camp. Please do not hesitate to call us, we are trying our best to do all that we can for your child/ren, but we need your direct input, and welcome all suggestions.
